This will was written on 19 Jan 1705 and executed October 1707:
In the name of God Amen. I Joseph England of Marshfield in the County of Gloucester (?) Being weak in boday but of sound mind and perfect remembrance thanks be given to God (?) (?) (?) (?) and publish this my last will and testament in manner and forms following (viz).
First I commend my soule for God hopeing for pardon for all my sins and for salvation for the (?) and (?) of my blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. And my body I comitt to the earth to be decently buried in Christian burial at the direction of my Executor herein named. And that which God of his many faith given me in this world. I give unto such persons and in such manner as are herein named. And my will is it shall be performed accordingly (viz)
I give unto my daughter Anne Wilton my best bed with the curtains and vallens and all other appurtanames that belongs to the said bed (except the bedspread). Also I give to my said daughter Anne Wilton the one halfe of my position the whole shall be equally divided between my said daughter and my son Joseph England to whom I give the other halfe of my said position.
Item I give unto my son Samuel England the sum of fforty shillings in money. And also I give unto my said son Samuel my brass pan.
Item I give unto my grandson Joseph Wilton the sum of five pounds in money to bond him Apprentice
Item I give unto my grandson Thomas Wilton the sum of five pounds in money to bond him Apprentice
Item I give unto my Son in law Richard Wilton the sum of one shilling.
Item I give unto my Son in law Mark Harford the sum of one shilling.
Item I give unto my son Joseph England all the rest and residue of my goods and chattells that is not above mentioned and (?) of (?) goods moneys bonds bills (?) (?) (?) (?) claymes and demands whatsoever to me belonging or apportayning making him my said son Joseph my whole and sole executor of my last will, hereby revoking and making null and voyd all other former wills by me made. Affirming this to be my last will and testament hereby annoynting my said executor faithfully to perform the same. In wittnes hereunto I have for my hand affixed my seal and published it this nineteenth day of January in the fourtheyear of the Reign of our souvrain Lady Anne by the Grace of God of England, Scotland, France and Ireland, Queen defender of the faith and in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and five.
